Zagreb Veterans Clinch Series

Petar Bošnjak's Zagreb Veterans have beaten David Žižic's Chiefs Indians in a nail-biting last over 4-run victory to wrap up the best of three series 2-1 in Zagreb on Saturday.

Bošnjak sent in the Chiefs Indians to bat and thanks to the ever consistent Marko Mance, who hit 16, and support roles played by Goran Kellett, Tonko Tabain and Ivan Slipčević, the Zagreb Veterans were set a respectable 88. The Zagreb Veterans kept up with the run rate through out the chase, thanks to positive knocks from opener Richard Probst and captian Bošnjak.

Run-outs got the Chiefts Indians right back in the game and when the Zagreb Veterans needed 6 runs off the last 5 balls of the match it was left to the old heads Craig Sinovich and Paul Mušin to steer the Veterans home.
